Ronnie Menier, 69, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 14, 2020, at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor, Texas.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Officiating will be Father Delphyn Meeks of St. Maurice Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Mamou, Louisiana, on August 20, 1950, he was the son of Farry “Gene” Menier and Gloria (Guillory) Berzas. Ronnie worked as a pumper for McGowan Working Partners for several years before retiring. He loved to work, gamble, and watch Westerns; but his greatest love was his wife, Lynda. Ronnie was a light in the lives of his family members, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda J. Menier; his father, Gene Menier; and his mother, Gloria Berzas.
He is survived by his children, Philip Jason Menier and wife Cassie of Pine Prairie, Louisiana, Charles Todd Menier and wife Donna of Mamou, Louisiana, Chad Daniel Menier and wife Nikki of Pine Prairie, Becky Lynn Menier of Mamou, and Cheri Posey and husband Dwayne of Orange; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Brittany, Richard, Edward, Kady, Parker, Maddyson, Morgan, Shea, Decker, and Dustin; his great-grandchildren, Zoey and Braylyn; numerous siblings; and his beloved fur babies, Sophie and Baby Boy.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Chad Menier, Shea Gerard Kerner, Edward Wayne Menier, Parker Daniel Menier, Dwayne A. Posey, and Dustin A. Posey.
