Ronnie Edward Sharp, 74, of Orange, passed away on May 6, 2017, in Orange.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2017, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Rob Tibbitts of Crossroads Baptist Church in Vinton, Louisiana.

Born in Houston, Texas, on February 27, 1943, he was the son of Jerry Sharp and Wanda (Cassell) Sharp Wilbur.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Sharp; mother, Wanda Wilbur; step-father, Tex Wilbur; brother, Wayne Wilbur; daughter, Crystal Smith; and grandchildren, Jodie Smith, Mindy Smith, and Mathew Sharp.

He is survived by his children, April Breaux, Jerry Wayne Sharp, and Robert Sharp; grandchildren, Alexis Breaux, Ryah Long, Ethan Long, Christopher Sharp, and Misty Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made directly to the family, or through a GoFundMe account set up in Mr. Sharp’s name to help with funeral expenses.
