Rose Marie Alcorn Dumas, 81, of Orange, died Thursday, December 16, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Wesley United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Reverend Randy Branch. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 14, 1929, Rose was the daughter of James Albert and Elizabeth Hollingsworth Alcorn. She worked as a billing clerk with Higman Towing Co. for 31 years, and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and T.O.P.S.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Baron Dumas; son, Ted Michael Dumas; and brother, Jimmy Alcorn.
Rose is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Clint Cloessner of Victoria, Kathy and Charlie Arceneaux of Orange, and Kim and Tucker Sonnier of Port O'Conner; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill Alcorn.
