Rosemary Vincent McClelland, 88, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2020, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Strother of St. Helen Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, October 2, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Bolivar, Texas, on November 29, 1931, she was the daughter of Bernard Vincent and Lucille (Rodriguez) Vincent. Rosemary worked at Southwestern Bell, as well as Orange County Casket Company. She found great joy in being a mother and a homemaker and was active in the PTA when her children were in school. Rosemary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was involved in and was the Director of the Religious Education program. She also was a member of St. Helen’s Third Age Group and RCIA. She loved dancing and in her younger years, won many awards for square dancing. Rosemary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James McClelland; her parents, Bernard and Lucille Vincent; and her sister, Rowena LaBoeuf.
She is survived by her son, Vincent Craig McClelland and wife Patsy of Orange; daughter, Rebecca McClelland Martin and husband John of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Michael Martin and wife Chelsey, Morgan Cowherd and husband Allen, and Louis Hunter McClelland; great-grandchildren, Dylan Martin, Emma Martin, Alice Martin, Lucy Cowherd, and Jack Cowherd; as well as her sister, Rosella Shelton and Glen.
Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Cowherd, John Martin, Michael Martin, Vincent Craig McClelland, Paul Bingham, and Lin Bingham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of St. Helen Catholic Church, 8105 FM 1442, Orange, Texas 77630.
