Rosemary Spell, 69, of Orange, passed away on February 21, 2019, at Vidor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Vidor.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Adams of First Baptist Church in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Born in Woodville, Texas, on November 3, 1949, she was the daughter of Tommy Lewis and Johnnie (Parks) Butler. Rosemary grew up in Sour Lake and graduated Hardin Jefferson High School. She then moved to Orange where she raised her children. She went into the grocery business after graduation where she worked her entire adult life. Rosemary retired from Market Basket where she worked for over 26 years. She was a very hard worker and was very dedicated to her job. Most of all she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffry Spell, parents, Tommy and Johnnie Butler; and her brother, Joseph Charles Butler.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Terrier and husband, Byron; son, Aaron Spell and wife, Rebekah; grandchildren, Ashlen Godeau, Sarai Lovelace, Madison Fuston, Holly Spell, Micah Spell, Brooke Carpenter, Jordan Spell, and Luke Spell; great-grandchildren, Milani Godeau and Xander Carpenter; and siblings, Thomas Ray Butler, Kenneth Butler, Wanda Taylor, Frances Harrison and Belinda McDermand.
Serving as pallbearers will be Byron Terrier, Micah Spell, Luke Spell, Chris McDermand, Spencer Fuston, and Sterling Godeau
The family would like to send their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Vidor Nursing and Rehab for their loving care of Rosemary during her time there.
