Rosey Abrego Molina
Rosey Abrego Molina was born in Yorktown, Texas on May 28, 1924.
After a lengthy illness, Rosey entered Heaven’s gates on May 14, 2014 welcomed by her father and mother, Onesimo and Cecilia Abrego, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert Molina Sr. and Victoria Molina, and her grandson, David Foreman Molina.
A consummate mother and homemaker, Rosey was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals and caring for her beloved husband and family. Not only was she a loving wife and mother, she was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother.
Rosey had an unwavering faith in God through which she found the strength and courage to sacrifice for her family so that they could be successful and happy. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Over the years, she had become very involved with the church and assisted with numerous organizations including the St. Francis Altar Society.
Rosey is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert Molina, Jr. of Orange, son Robert Molina III and his wife Sherry of League City, daughter Mary Ann Turner and her husband Max of Montgomery, daughter Patricia Sue Fisher and her husband Harold of League City, son David Paul Molina and his wife Darlie of Fannett, son Michael and his wife Patti of Willis, and son Joseph Gregory Molina of Jasper and his dogs Sunny and Dixie.
She is survived by two sisters, Pauline Vela and Irene Diaz, both of San Antonio.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Robert Molina IV, Diane Morrison, Victoria Skinner, Cole Parish, Megan Turner, Trenton Foster, Lisa Spence, Christopher Fisher, Dana Rose Molina, Michael P. Molina, Lacresia Hubbard, Shawnique Molina, Ike Addison, and Harvey Addison.
Rosey is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, Robert Skye Molina V; Barret and Victoria Rose Morrison; Stella and Beckett Parish; Meredith and Sarah Skinner; Henry Janes; Max Foster; Jackson Spence; Randy Hubbard; Sean Apollonio; Stephen, Savannah and Shyannah Lout; Dillan, Ike, Jr. and Sierra Addison; and Ella Jean and Lilly Addison. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
Pallbearers will be Robert Molina IV, Cole Parish, Christopher Fisher, Barret Morrison, Randy Hubbard, and Sean Apollonio. Honorary Pallbearers include her sons Robert, David, Michael, and Joseph; Max Turner, Harold Fisher, Marshall Morrison, Brandon Spence and Christopher Skinner.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A Christian wake and rosary service is planned at 6:00 PM at Claybar Funeral Home. A Catholic funeral mass service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1:30 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Mausoleum in Orange.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Restoration Fund.
Rosey’s son, David and wife Darlie provided Rosey with loving care during the final year of her life. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Rosey their greatest gratitude.
