Russell Alton Victor
Russell Alton Victor, 68, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on July 10, 2018, at his home.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on December 19, 1949, he was the son of Lawrence Victor and Mildred (Dugas) Sanders. Russell graduated from Nederland High School where he played baseball and was a member of the 1965 State Championship team. He retired as a plumber for the local union. Russell enjoyed any kind of sports, especially baseball. He was known to his grandkids as “Poppy” and he loved them dearly. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mildred; daughter, Rachel White; and sister, Kathy Jennings.
Russell is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Loretta Victor; children, Darrin Holloway, Donnie Victor and wife Kimberly, Jena Johnson and husband Gene, and Lisa Victor; grandchildren, Larissa DeBlanc, Jordan Johnson, Crystal Ballin, Keana Ratliff, Kayla Womack, Jhonathan White, Makenzie White, and Keeley Victor; great-grandchild, Melanie White; and his brother, Mark Victor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22478
Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
