Ruth Dale, 88, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2018, in Beaumont.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Officiating will be Pastor Wade Floyd of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2018, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Born in Nacogdoches, Texas, on January 21, 1930, she was the daughter of Edgar Wallace Stanaland and Bertie (Green) Stanaland. Ruth worked at Bealls Department Store as an office clerk for many years before retiring. When she was younger, she was active at church. Ruth enjoyed gardening, crafting, camping, visiting Branson, and going to the Passion Play. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Bertie Stanaland; her husband, Woodrow Wilson Dale; her son, David Lynn Dale; her siblings, Joseph Stanaland, Edgar Marion Stanaland, and Barbara Heflin.
She is survived by her children, Larry Dale and wife Elizabeth Ann of Lumberton, and Charles Dale and wife Loretta of Lumberton; her grandchildren, Jeremy Dale, Joshua Dale, Justin Dale, Jerry Romero, Jason Romero, Chandra Dale Agrasanchez, and Cory Dale; her sister, Louise Stanfield of Douglas; and her 14 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Dale, Joshua Dale, Justin Dale, Jerry Romero, Jason Romero, and Cullen Dale.
