Ruth Chef DeHotel Pietuszka, 88, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2023, in Port Arthur, Texas.

Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Father Sinclair Oubre. Burial will follow at St Mary Mausoleum in Orange, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

Born in Lawrence Harbor, New Jersey, on June 19, 1935, she was the daughter of Charles Chef Dehotel and Katherine Farley Chef Dehotel. Ruth was a devout member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She also loved dogs and was a professional German Sheppard breeder. Most of all, Ruth loved and cherished her entire family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Katherine Chef DeHotel; her loving husband, Stan Pietuszka; and her son, Michael Welton.

She is survived by her children, Barry Robert Welton and Robert Scott Welton, Sr.; her grandchild, Robert Scott “Scotty” Welton, Jr.; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
