It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I write this. When I heard about Ms. Ruth's passing, so many wonderful and funny memories came rushing to my mind. We grew up next door to her and Mr. Will. They were both like a second set of parents to my two sisters and I... and let me tell you, she was extremely quick to let me know when I was screwing up...(which was pretty often) Mr. Will was in fact my God Father, and I truly love them both. Ms. Ruth watched all of us kids like a hawk, and I remember that we couldn't get away with anything. There were times that I didn't like her very much because of that, after all, we were kids, just being kids. Now, its been over 35 years since those days of living next door, and at 50 years old, it's funny how your prospective as well as your perception of things around you as a kid, changes. Mr. Will and Ms. Ruth both, played a significant part, in the development of my character as a young man, along with molding some of my moral values. (Thank you both) I am so proud, to have the memories, and experiences that I have today, as I share this great loss with you all. May the Lord comfort each of you, as the beauty of her smile, warms your heart, and as her memory will continue to live thru each of us. God Bless, John Mazzola III (Lil Johnny)

I have many memories of growing up with your mom and dad as neighbors. I can still hear her voice yelling at my brother for stupid stuff he did. It makes me smile every time I think about her. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Laura Mazzola Berry
