Ruth Withrow

Ruth Withrow, 70, of The Woodlands, former longtime resident of Orange, passed away on September 15, 2017, in Houston.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Ashcraft.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, September 18, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on November 28, 1946, she was the daughter of Hiram Norsworthy, Jr. and Patricia (Abbott) Norsworthy. Ruth worked as a district trainer for Farmers Insurance. Her family was very special to her and her motivation to fight. She loved spending time with her loving dog, Bit. She was a longtime member of North Orange Baptist Church and was probably the only person in Texas that loved both the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans. Ruth fought her illness courageously for the past 18 months. She was deeply loved by all her family and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son and his wife, John and Jessica Withrow, as well as their children, Campbell, Addison, and Carley Withrow; her son and his wife, Greg and Lisette Withrow, and their children, Liam and Isabella Withrow; and siblings, Deesie Garza, Chester Navarre, and Randy Lane.
