Sam Hellon Golden, Jr

Sam Hellon Golden, 77, of Silsbee, TX passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Sam was born March 18, 1935 in Panama City, Florida to Sam Hellon Golden, Sr. and Alice Vivian Driskell. During the Korean War he served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division in the United States Army. Later, Sam also served in Germany.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Judye; sons, Randall Lynn Dixon, Paul Allen Dixon, Jimmy Ralph Golden and Tyler Jerret Golden; daughters, Debbie Leaetta Crews and Bryttani Jo Golden; grandchildren, Rilynn Kay Martin, Christopher Lloyd Rhodes, Michael Shawn Rhodes, Tammy Elizabeth Rhodes, James Samuel Rhodes, Tonya Michelle Rhodes and Jamye Kay Rhodes, 12 great-grandchildren and many who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will take place Sunday, September 23 at 6:00 PM at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the service at 6:00 PM.
