Sam Trevino, Jr., 61, of Bridge City, passed away on August 14, 2021, in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21, at Church on the Rock North in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on September 18, 1959, he was the son of Sam Trevino, Sr. and Geneva (Jiminez) Trevino. Sammy worked as an assistant operator at Valero, previously Gulf, and he later retired after many years of hard work. He was a devout member of Community Church and was proud to be an ordained minister. His main concern in life was people’s salvation and coming to know Jesus. Sammy lived every day to help others come to know that Jesus is the Savior. He was also known as “PawPaw” to his grandchildren and never missed a recital, sports game, or event his grandbabies participated in and always supported them in everything. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Geneva Trevino.
He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Kellie Trevino; children, Joshua Trevino and wife Laura of Lumberton, Anessa Hansing and husband Jordan of Port Neches, Victoria Rocio of Bridge City, Salina Rocio of Spring, and Catherine DeLaura and husband Matt of Conroe; grandchildren, Ledger, Josiah, Gideon, Sutton, Miriam, Patrick, Ariel, Maybree, Jeremiah, Beaux, and Rhett; siblings, Valerie Carrens and husband John of Georgetown, Jerry Trevino and wife Renee of Port Neches, Sylvia McElduff and husband Greg of Port Neches, Tony Trevino and wife Karen of Orange, and Teresa Choate and husband John of Lumberton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and loving friends.
