Samantha Gayle “Sammie” Villere, 14, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on July 30, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Phil Weatherford, of Praise Church of Beaumont. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Sammie was born in Beaumont, Texas, on May 28, 2002. She attended Bridge City Middle School as well as having attended Orangefield Jr. High School. She was a cheerleader and ran track. Sammie loved gymnastics, golf, horseback riding, and singing. She enjoyed trivia, fun facts, reading, and food, especially McDonalds. Sammie loved her friends and spending time at football games. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sammie is survived by her father, Denis Villere and wife Carole; her mother, April Gordon and husband Tommy; grandparents, William and Faye Reagan, of Dickinson, Melissa Carpenter, of Nassau Bay, Neil and Gayle Laminack, of Conroe, and Denis d’Aquin Villere, of Mandeville, La.; great-grandmother, Hady Fojt, of Deer Park; brothers, Nicholas Trainer, Chase Miller, and Michael Gordon; sisters, Lizz Trainer, Kaitlyn Trainer, Katlin Gordon, and Caitlyn Lebouef; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joan Paulette Reagan; and grandfathers, Sam Carpenter and Douglas Haddon.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Gordon, Chase Miller, Nicholas Trainer, Denis Villere, Tommy Gordon, and Deejay Baggerly. Honorary pallbearers are Britt Godwin, Hernan Lazarde, and Jay Carpenter.

Hello I just happened to read Samantha's obituary and felt compelled to write. She was far too young. It is my hope that some thoughts from the Bible will bring you some. Hope, comfort and peace. It was never God's intention that we should grow old and die. When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, he also put before them the prospect of living forever happy and in good health. (Genesis 1:28) Our creator has not given up on that original plan..perfect live on paradise earth...even though Satan, Adam and Eve messed up (Isaiah 55:10-11) The Bible tells us that it is Satan who is responsible for death, and not God as some would tell us. (Hebrews 2:14) Our creator Jehovah God sent his Son Jesus Christ to ransom us from death and to destroy the works of the Devil (1 John 3:8) Jesus said: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that excercises faith in me will live thought he dies." (John 11:25) With Jesus Christ enthroned as King of God's Kingdom, resurrection of the dead - including Samantha - and a restoration of paradise on earth is assured. Although I only met you once or twice, I have grown to know your family very very well, and what I can say is you are sorely missed and so greatly loved. I have heard so many amazing stories about you and things you all did as a family. I know you will be looking down on us all from above.
