Samuel A. Ravelette, Sr., 77, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2007, in Dallas, TX.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Bobby Granger. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ravellette was born June 8, 1929, in Vensan, Indiana to Joseph and Elsie Meeks Ravellette.
Mr. Ravellette served in the U.S. Army during 1949 through 1951 and the U.S. Navy 1952 through 1973. He retired from civil service after 14 years. He belonged to fraternal organizations, Masons, 49 years, Shriners and Eastern Star for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters, three brothers and son, Samuel Ravellette, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Levenya Ruth Delano-Ravellette, daughter and son in law Penny L. and Fred W. Rosen, two granddaughters, Erica and Ruthann Smeltz, one great grandchild, Blake A. Markham, two adopted grandsons, Michael and Brandon James, two step granddaughters and husbands, six step great grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Jeff Delano, Jerry Lee Delano, Marty Delano, Jeff Young, Kevin Eryant and Brad Guillot.
