Samuel Lee Henry, Jr.

Samuel Lee Henry, Jr., 70, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Beaumont.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.

Born in Orange, Texas, on May 2, 1955, he was the son of Samuel Lee Henry, Sr. and Agnes LaPoint Henry. Samuel, known affectionately as "Grandpa Sam" by his grandchildren, was a man of many interests and passions. A dedicated member of his motorcycle club, he embraced the freedom of the open road with a spirit that mirrored his love of adventure. His enthusiasm for riding was only matched by his love for his family. An ornery soul at heart, Samuel was never one to shy away from a hearty debate or a good-natured jest. He was also a true fan of classic westerns, with a particular fondness for "Gunsmoke." He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Agnes Henry; and several siblings.

He is survived by his daughters, Andrea Richmond, Rebecca Henry, and Rachel Bryan and husband, David; his sons, Samuel Henry III, and Ory Cash Henry; his grandchildren, Ethan, Cort, Devyn, Destiny, Bethany, Ory Jr., William, Katelyn, Izabella, and Darian; his sister, Dorothy Runnells; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

I'll always remember my first motorcycle ride with you when I was seven. It scared me but you took the time to visit when I was young. As we got older I enjoyed having drinks with you at local pubs and reminiscing. You were the only one to call me cotton top my whole life. I sure did enjoy having you as an uncle. You will be missed by many people who loved you dearly. Tell everyone in heaven I said hey and we will see each other someday. R.I.P. Uncle Sammy! Sending with love from your niece!!
