Santos Alviar, 91, of Rose City, TX passed away February 20, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born November 18, 1918 in Beaumont, TX to Cresencio and Pilar Alviar. After many years of employment, Mr. Alviar retired from National Concrete Company.
He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Alviar; daughters, Mary Del-Pilar Lopez and husband, Francisco, Esther Bernal and husband, Jose all of Rose City, Elida Marshall and husband, James, and Christina Hernandez and husband, Jose all of Beaumont; sons, Lloyd Russell Langham and Bobby Langham and wife, Karen of Pt. Arthur; 20 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Augustina Varela and Boneficia Garcia; and many other family members and friends who loved him.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church with Father Luis Urriza officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m.
