Sarah Jean Peddy, 72, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 18, 2017, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Randy Branch of Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be follow the service at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on September 10, 1945, she was the daughter of Richard G. Hardin and Jean (McGill) Marshall. Sarah was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she was the organist for many years. She worked as a music teacher at West Orange- Cove where she retired after 30 years. Sarah will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by children, William B. Peddy, Jr., and Robin Shaffer; grandchildren, J. Trevor and Lindsey Schaffer; longtime friend, Betty Sue Cooper and her family, Deanna Welch, Kaden Allen Head, and Victoria Jewell Welch.
