Sarah Thomas Lilley

Sarah Thomas Lilley, 88, died in Beaumont on December 23, 2008. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 27, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Claybar Funeral Home on 504 N. 5th St in Orange. Reverend Danny Gilliam of McDonald Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 26, 2008, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lilley was born on April 9, 1920, in Holly Springs, MS to John Hamilton McClatchy and Sarah Thomas McClatchy. She was a retired nurse and a member of Central Baptist Church in Beaumont for many years. Sarah was preceded in death by her son, John Wesley Miller; husband, Jesse Lilley, one sister and five brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Burns and husband Charles of Orange; her son, Homer Miller, Jr and wife Patricia of College Station; her daughter, Viki Dickerson and husband Herbert of Pineville, LA; ten grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, Ryan Dickerson, Joel Dickerson, Frank Lomonte, Jim Huber and Barry Terrell. Honorary pallbearer will be John Dickerson.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 26, 2008, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
