Born in Houston, TX on October 2, 1961, Scott went home to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 7, 2018.
Scott will be greatly missed by his mother, Marilynn Milligan; his father, Bill Nixon and Nancy Kring; his brother, Troy Nixon; his daughter, Valerie Nixon; his uncle, John Nixon and his wife Sue Nixon; and a host of other extended family, loved ones and friends.
He attended Bellaire High School, Houston. He loved the outdoors and his early jobs were at Academy and Bass Pro Shops, before he engaged in an independent business transporting boats across country. He always saw the possibilities in adventure, and had creative ideas about how to turn his love of adventure into a vocation. He loved to fish, and became an independent fishing guide, opening a guide service named “Stirred Water” in the Baffin Bay area. He also loved photography, hunting, and writing.
In spite of the battles he fought with alcohol and depression, Scott was a man of God, who was a helpful and compassionate friend, even to strangers he met along the way.
Memorial service to be held on November 3, at 1 PM at Christ Church Presbyterian, 5001 Bellaire Blvd., Houston, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Suburban Alcoholic Foundation 2809 Northland Dr. Austin, TX 78757, or the charity of your choice.

Hey Scott, you will be greatly missed. Watch over us Bellaire knuckleheads would you? May God bless and keep you in his big big house. He needs as many Cardinals flying there and with us.

Scott did touch so many people in a positive way during his life, the world will be a sadder place with him gone. Prayers for God to hold all who loved Scott in His comforting hands and to hopefully ease their suffering some.
