Sendy Todaro O’Keefe, 73, of Orange, passed away on March 26, 2022, in Orange.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a rosary to be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange.
Sendy Todaro O’Keefe was born in Orange, Texas on April 21, 1948 as one of five daughters born to Frank J. and Sarah E. Todaro. She was married to David L. O’Keefe for 43 years. She was educated at the University of Texas in Austin where she majored in Healthcare. Mrs. O’Keefe was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Orange. She served as a member of the church’s RCIA program, was a Eucharistic Minister to shut-ins and assisted in the Bereavement Committee. Mrs. O’Keefe was a member of the the Board of Directors of Birthright of Orange where she served as the organization’s Co-Treasurer for many years. She received the Catholic Charities prestigious “Woman of the Year” award for her many charitable and humanitarian work. She lived a loving, caring life despite a long and disabling illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. O’Keefe; parents, Frank and Sarah Todaro; and sister, Mary Ann Todaro Scofield.
Mrs. O’Keefe is survived by her sisters, Rosalie Todaro Clark and husband Judge Pat Clark, Sarah Todaro Berryman and husband Billy Berryman and Antionette Todaro Peveto and husband Wayne Peveto all of Orange; brother-in-law, John Scofield; nieces and nephews, Mary Ann Clark Aven, Beth Ann Clark, Patrick Clark, Jr., Frank Coffin III, Sarah Coffin Fisher, Michael Coffin, Rebecca Scofield Roemisch, Reynee Scofield Shull, Sendy Scofield, Antionette Katherine Peveto Adame and Conis Wayne Peveto, Jr.; along with a host of grand nieces and grand nephews, all of whom adored her very much.
Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Coffin III, Patrick Clark, Jr., Michael Coffin, Christian Clark, Ben Fisher, Jackson Clark, William Clark and Edwin Scofield. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Judge Pat Clark, John Scofield, Billy Berryman, Conis Wayne Peveto, Conis Wayne Peveto, Jr., Dr. John Frankland and Karl Eason, Sr.
