Shan L. Zirlott
Shan L. Zirlott, 42, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 6, 2018, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend John W. Harrell, of United Pentecostal Church of Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on July 24, 1975, she was the daughter of George F. Zirlott, Jr. and Rebeccah Messer. Shan was a graduate of Bridge City High School class of 1995. She was a member of FOE Eagle Riders and FOE #2523 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Trustee and Inside Guard. She volunteered her time helping with numerous fund raising activities including cooking for the Eagles, and youth and senior camps. She was a pool shark and an avid bowler who bowled in several leagues. Shan loved the beach and was a competitive swimmer who “swam like a fish”. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, arts and crafts, and skating, but mostly playing pool with her brother and Johnny. Shan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Shohn K. Zirlott; grandparents, Shannon and Thelma Messer and George F. Zirlott, Sr.; aunts, Kathy Zirlott, Ella Picard, and Patricia Wendt; and uncle, Johnny Picard.
Shan is survived by her parents, Becky Messer Picard and husband Paul and Ricky Zirlott and wife Gayla; fiancé, Johnny Gill, Sr.; grandmother, Kathryn Zirlott; brother, Jimmy Picard and wife Beverly; sisters, Melissa Picard Moore, Naomi Ramm and husband Jason, and Crystal Ewing and husband Jeff; and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends she called family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Self, Marlon Messer, Jeremy Messer, Austin Williams, Travis Williams, and Shannon Meaux.
Honorary pallbearer is Shannon Bruce Self.
