Shanna Lynn Gonzalez, 56, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away on July 10, 2019, in Houston, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be her brother, Reverend Doug Bray, of Harmony Baptist Church in Vidor, Texas.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Born in Austin, Texas, on July 24, 1962, she was the daughter of Don Bray and Arlene (Nelson) Bray. Shanna was a very loving mother and grandmother who always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her pets. She loved spending time with her friends “junking”- shopping for antiques, and going to the lake and the beach. Shanna was a wonderful seamstress and baker. She was a great friend who was always there for anyone who needed her, but she wasn’t afraid to put you in your place as well! She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Arlene Bray; loving husband, Louis Gonzalez; and her grandson, Captain Gonzalez.

Shanna is survived by her children, Mindi Vandervoort and husband Jerry, of Orange and Dustin Gonzalez and wife Tiffany, of Orange; grandchildren, Ace Vandervoort, Emma Gonzalez; Brock Vandervoort, and Tripp Vandervoort; and her brother, Doug Bray and wife Lynn, of Vidor.
