ShaRee Kay Baumgartner

ShaRee Baumgartner, age 64, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2026, at home.

Born in Orange, Texas, on January 27, 1962, she was the daughter of Edward Peveto and Kay Shelton. She was known through the community for her work as a hairdresser at Kay’s Hair Styles. You could always find her sitting in her room, greeting everyone who came in with a big smile. She not only served as their hairstylist, but as a therapist and friend as well. ShaRee had a big heart- She loved fiercely and never hesitated to help those who needed a little guidance and extra TLC. She took in everyone as her own. Being invited into her inner circle was special, you always knew where you stood with her and she never shied away from giving her opinion: on you, your hair, or what you were up to. She looked forward to reading her daily prayer/bible studies with Aunt Judy every day. Her big personality and charisma drew everyone in and her presence is going to be missed sorely.

She is survived by her father, Edward Peveto and wife Jan; mother, Kay Shelton and husband Joe; son, Tony Baumgartner and wife Tasha; daughter, ShaRanda Henry and fiancé Josh; grandchildren, Alexis Baumgartner, Hannah Baumgartner, and Madison Dyson; great grandson, Wyatt; nieces and nephew Kati Forbes , Leslie Peveto, and Lee Peveto; great nieces and great nephews Paisley, Evelyn, Edward, Haley, Brooklyn, Kayden, Cambree, Aspyn and Buck; siblings, Edward Peveto jr. and wife Cissy, Reesha Thornton and husband David, Crystal Robichaux and husband Rick, and Joey Caballero; and last but not least- her best friends, Peppy (Peveto) Hernandez, and Michael Earl; as well as many others that will grieve her loss.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A memorial service will be held February 14, 2026 at 11am at her home church –Calvary Baptist in Orange.

I met ShaRee through her friendship with Mrs. Margret Dyer and Mr. Alan Dyer. After Mrs. Dyer’s passing, ShaRee continued to cut Mr. Alan’s hair. I’m Mr. Alan’s caregiver, so I would drive him to Kay’s. ShaRee would cut and trim, but moreover she made me laugh a lot. She told the best stories about Mrs. Margret and their daughter Renee. When we needed a home for Angel, (the escape artist and sister dog to Gypsy) ShaRee blessed us by taking her home. We will miss our visits with ShaRee, but she and Mrs. Dyer and Renee will be laughing it up, until the rest of us can join them.

You were a mother and someone that had me when the world was against me. I will never be able to say how much you meant to me or how much I loved you. Thank you for being you. The world lost a beautiful soul and an angel amongst us. I'll never stop needing you or loving you. I love you momma

You have been like a second mother to me ever since I was a teenager. From the moment I became friends with your son to when you actually became my step mother for a period of time (we won't talk about that lol) to you letting me know I needed to pull my head out my behind and act like the person you knew me to be. You always loved me unconditionally, even if you had to kick me in the behind every so often. The world lost one of its brightest lights when you left it. You will forever be missed and thought of always. Do me a favor, hug my momma and tell her I miss her more than I could ever explain. Ya'll behave up there!!!!

My favorite place to go when I had bad days was your house. There was never a dull moment around you. You lit up every single room you walked into. I will miss the times at the salon, miss the times at your house when we would all cut up, miss the laughs, miss the hugs, miss the jokes, miss the phone calls, and miss the deep hearted conversations. There was never a doubt that you had my back, no matter what. You were the best Gigi to Wyatt. He will definitely know how cherished and loved he was by you. I miss and love you dearly.

ShaRee, you were the face and voice of Kay’s shop. Getting my hair done was like visiting family for the last 45 years. You were larger than life, and I will miss you more than I can say. Your faith was bold and often spoken of, so I know where you are, completely healed. I will always remember you.

I remember meeting her when I came to visit Lee and Kayla and the kids. I road with Kayla to Orange to get hair done. Kids were ready to get out and play. I took them outside ShaRee followed me we sat on the porch for awhile just sitting and getting to know one another. She was so sweet. She spoke about her kids and Lee growing up. She was letting me know they lived as everyone else did. She had a customer she smiled and greeted them. You could not tell that they were tired. She loved what she did. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all but rest assured she’s with Jesus while alive and well. She would be smiling down on all of you. I pray he comforts all of you. Reesha you will miss her and I know her passing is hard on you. Look up to the Heavens and thank him for the time you had her here on earth we know we have lost 3 brothers and our parents. She choose to go home where she’s very happy. We will be praying for all of you. Ms Kay she’s home and as long as you believe that Jesus is your savior it good- bye for a little while. You will see her again. She Don’t have to worry anymore. As I’ve sang at a lot of funerals. So ShaRee go rest high on that Mountain. Girl your work on earth is done go to Heaven a shouting love for the father and the son. God Bless you all.
