Sheridon Wright

Sheridon Gay Wright, 62, of Bridge City, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Monday, August 23, 2010.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home in Bridge City.

Sheridon was born to Marcus Hugh L. and Evelyn Gay on May 25, 1948 in Orange, Texas. She graduated from West Orange High School in 1966. She taught at Martin Elementary in Beaumont for 25 years. She taught one wonderful day at Marshall Middle School. Sheridon was a dedicated teacher, a loving wife and a proud mother and grandmother.

Sheridon was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Chiquita Smith. Survivors include her husband, Billy Glenn Wright; a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jenny Barron of Orange; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Adam Nimitz of Rusk; a daughter, Jessica Bowen of Houston; stepchildren Darryl Wright of Warren; Kami Wright of Bridge City; Glynis and John Gothia of Bridge City; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Robert Wise of Nederland; and sister Sydenia Graber of Plano . She also leaves behind several grandchildren: Nicholas and Stephen; Grace and Hope; Evie; Kendall and Kyle; Lacey; and Hunter and Forrest.

Sheridon valued the many lives she touched throughout her career and was pleased that her work with them made a difference. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
