Sherrye Lynn Henry, 62, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2018, in Beaumont, surrounded by those who loved her deeply.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in October 18, 1956, in Beaumont, she was the daughter of John Allen Broussard and Leola (LaBry) Broussard. Sherrye was known best for her warmth & nurturing nature. She devoted her life to her soulmate Michael, and kept his memory alive for her children. Sherrye loved to take care of her family, holding her grandchildren close to her heart, and would do anything for her children. She enjoyed cooking and baking, always providing in one way or another for those she loved. Sherrye was the “town mom”, taking in and loving everyone who crossed her path. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Broussard; father-in-law, Farland Henry; loving husband of over 20 years, Michael David Henry, Sr.; grandson, Matthew Hall; sister, Desiree Sellars; and brothers, Craig Broussard & Blane Broussard.
She is survived by her mother, Leola Broussard; mother-in-law, Carol Henry; children, Giovanna Hall of Orange, Andrea Dugas of Bridge City, Sharessa Cooper and Calvin Turner of Silsbee, Teletha Henry of Bridge City, and Michael David Henry, Jr. of Bridge City; grandchildren, Christian Winfrey, Calista Winfrey, Christopher Henry, Tristina Henry, Michayla Henry, Michael David Henry III., Mila Henry, Tayleena Blake Cooper, Gary Zane Cooper, Samantha Humberson, Karlye Rowsey, Michael Vincent, and Mark D. Hall, Jr.; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, John Broussard, Jr.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hall Jr., Scott Jones, Jimmy Oathoudt, Hayden Fowler, Josh Cole, Chris Broussard, Robert Broussard, Matthew Dane Jones, Christopher Henry, Gary Zane Cooper, Michael Vincent, and Trey Broussard.
