Born in Orange, Texas, on November 10, 1934, she was the daughter of Orville Wilmont “Buck”, Sr. and Frankie Gott Nimitz. Shirlee was the proud owner of Shirlee's Floral and Gift Shop, a business that blossomed under her artistic touch. Her talent for arranging stunning floral displays showcased her love for flowers and was a true expression of her spirit. In addition to her work at the floral shop, she served the community through her roles as a bail bondsman at the Orange County Courthouse and as a patient advocate at Orange Memorial Hospital. Beyond her professional endeavors, Shirlee had a wealth of hobbies and interests that painted her life with beautiful colors. She had a love for embroidery with her Baby Lock machine. She also had a fondness for antiques that reflected an appreciation for history, often leading her to treasure hunts in search of unique finds. After retiring, Shirlee and Walter embraced their adventurous spirit by traveling extensively across the United States in their RV. She also greatly enjoyed international travel where she experienced different cultures and landscapes with her closest friends. Shirlee was known not only for her vivacious spirit but also for her remarkable personality. Described as feisty, sweet, and prim and proper, she was indeed the cutest grandma anyone could encounter. Her approach to life was characterized by her readiness to say yes to new experiences and adventures, inspiring those around her to embrace life fully and joyfully. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Walter Guice; her father, Orville Wilmont “Buck” her mother, Frankie Gott Nimitz; her son, Walter David Guice; and her brothers, Orville “Beaux” Nimitz, Jr., and Billy Mitchell.

She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Pachuca and husband, Steve, and Vicki King and husband, Danny “Goat”; her grandchildren, Karla Lawson and husband, Billy, Scott King and Beth Boyd, Addison Nichols, and Kaitlyn Williams; her great-grandchildren, Alec and Jayde, Tristen, Ariana, and Savannah; her great-great-grandchildren, Kydric, and Evie; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott King, Billy Lawson, Alec Lawson, Tristen Lawson, Gregg Beckett, and Steve Faulk. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Pachuca, and Danny King “Goat”.

Aunt Shirlee always had a sweet smile and infectious laugh … a gentle hug and a warm welcome. I loved hearing her laugh and tell the stories about her adventures. I think her camping adventures were my favorite. Her and Uncle Walter came to Arkansas and let us know they were close we had a wonderful visit that time. I know our lives were better because we knew her. God bless you Valerie and Vicky comfort and keep you and the babies! Love you
