Stephanie Elaine Guidry, 55, of Bridge City, died Sunday, May 17, 2009, at The Meadows in Orange.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Bob Boone of First Baptist Church in Bridge City.
Stephanie was born on March 13, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the daughter of Stephen and Beatrice Trousdale Sempter. Stephanie was an LVN for the area nursing homes. Stephanie was also a charitable person and attended the First Baptist Church in Bridge City. She loved to travel and spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Stephen and Beatrice Sempter.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael Wayne Guidry of Bridge City; natural mother, Ailene Kennedy of Proctor, Texas; sons, Stephen Guidry and his wife Amie of Austin, Scott Guidry and his wife Leslie of Williamsport, Pennsylvania;daughter, Lisa Tarver and her husband Brandon of Bridge City; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Brett Sempter and his wife Debbie of Bossier City, Louisiana, Richmond Andrews of Brownwood; and sisters, Michelle Hall and her husband Ken of Brownwood, Denise Whittaker of Brownwood and Rene Andrews of Austin.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff on 2 North at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, The Cancer Center of Southeast Texas and the staff at The Meadows.
