Stephen Jack Bull, 71, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 1, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023, at North Orange Baptist Church in Orange with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Chip Anthony.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on January 22, 1952, he was the son of James Harold Bull and Jimmy Jacqueline (McKinney) Bull. Stephen was a proud graduate of the Little Cypress High School class of 1970. He loved his high school days with friends and playing on the football team. Stephen spent 38 loyal years as an electrician for DuPont before retiring. He was a long-time member of North Orange Baptist Church. Stephen was known to many as “Coach Bull” as he coached many of the sports played by his children while they were growing up and even went on to become a referee for U.I.L. soccer and football for many years. He was quite the animal lover, especially dogs, and competed in Dog Agility competitions across Texas and Louisiana for over ten years. Stephen was a wonderful husband, father, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Jimmy Bull, his son, Stephen “Bubba” Bull, Jr. and his favorite Australian Shepherd, Colt.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Debbie Bull: his son, Jason Bull of Orange: his daughter, Jaclynn Wallace and husband Kevin of Orange; his grandchildren Taylor Bull, Jordin Bull, McKinley Wallace, and Jack Wallace; his brother James Harold Bull, Jr. and wife Ramona; his Sister-in-law Jerri Hastings and husband Mark; and his nephew and nieces, David Hastings, Misti Brezina, Kristi Johanson, and Laura DeJesus.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Hastings, John DeJesus, Doug Richter, Reagan Lofton, Ryan Lofton, and Kyle Stephens.
