Stephen Piccone, 61, of Orange, Texas, passed away on August 21, 2024, in Houston, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Orange Boating Club at 2206 Dupont Dr, Orange, TX 77630.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on January 10, 1963, he was the son of Joseph M. Piccone and Elizabeth J. Bagwell Piccone. Steve worked as an Operator at Dupont, where his friendly demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand made him a beloved figure in the workplace. Beyond his professional life, Steve possessed a variety of interests that highlighted his character. He was a true people person, always ready to engage with others and share a laugh. Friends and family alike appreciated his warmth and charm, which made every gathering special. A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Steve embraced his passion for football with enthusiasm. He held a deep appreciation for music, showcasing his talent as a gifted musician and founding Music Connection, a magazine in Southeast Texas. Steve was also known for his remarkable skills as a handy man. In his leisure time, he loved boating, enjoying being on the water surrounded by nature and the company of loved ones, and spending time working on and riding his Harley. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Piccone; and his sister, Catherine Piccone.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Lugo; his children, Rory Piccone and wife, Brandi, Andrea Lugo Fontenot and husband, Christopher, Max Lugo, and Gregory Lugo; his brother, Michael Piccone and wife, Ellen; his nephew, Joseph Piccone, and nieces Kirsten and Kathy; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
