Stephen Craig Sartin
Stephen Craig Sartin, 60, of Bridge City passed away at his home surrounded by his family Saturday, January 9, 2016.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. , Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Steve Leger officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Arthur, Mr. Sartin was the son of Julian and Audrey (Lindstrom) Sartin. He was a Control Supervisor for Entergy and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Debbie Sartin and Linda Howell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kandy Sartin; daughter, Kelly Sartin; brothers, John Sartin and David Sartin and sister, Mary Dillow.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Sartin, Tom Smith, Cody Williams, Sam Coco, Corey Copeland and Tyson Dillow. John Sartin will serve as honorary pallbearer.

I use to work alongside Steve at Sabine Station in Bridge City, Texas. I remember Steve to be a very good person and a good friend to me! He was always willing to help others and newbies such as myself to learn the Power Plant business. I learned a lot from Steve and I have carried what I learned there all my working life. I first met Steve Sartin through while I was married to a friend of his. My first impression was that he was very tall, had a stern countenance and I was just a little intimidated by him, until you got to know him a little better. He had a nice laugh and he was very intelligent and a fierce protector of the ones he loved. The world became a little less bright today when I discovered his passing. It is my prayer that God helps the family with their burden of loss. God be with you.
