Steven Ivan Acosta

1990 ∼ 2026

Beloved Father, Brother, and Friend

Steven Acosta, a loving father of six and cherished brother of five, went home to be with the Lord on March 5th 2026, shortly after placing his faith in Jesus Christ—the most important decision of his life.

Born on July 24, 1990, in Montclair, California, to Javier Acosta and Flora Villarreal Acosta, he spent the last 18 years in Bridge City, Texas with his family. Steven was known for his kind heart, his unwavering love for his family, and his selfless care for everyone around him. Those who knew Steven remember his unique way of expressing love, always putting others first, encouraging those in need, and checking on friends and family to make sure they were okay.

Steven is survived by his children, Flora, Andrew, Luna, Hector, Isaac, and Ian Acosta; his siblings, Chris and his wife Adriana, Javi, Marce and his wife Jessica, Nicholas, and Vanessa Acosta; his fiancé, Mayra; his nieces, Eliza, Joscelyn, Addy, Amberleigh, Karizma, Kayla, and Karly Acosta; his stepmother, Lupe Acosta; as well as many other family members and friends who held him dear. He will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him.

Steven’s favorite Bible verse was:

Proverbs 3:4-5

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

“Steven had a deep faith in Jesus Christ. He trusted the Lord in a way that was hard to explain—he would pray, and then move forward with courage, believing God would take care of the rest.”

Steven’s love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

His last words were “I Love My Kids.”

Visitation time will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas, 504 N 5th Street, Orange, Texas 77630

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

Family and friends are welcome to attend as we honor Steven’s life, share memories, celebrate the love he gave to those around him, and hear the Word of God that explains the hope and faith he placed in Jesus Christ.
