Susan Marie Caldwell, 69, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 25, 1948, she was the daughter of Charles Wilbur Caldwell and Dorcas Jean (Pratt) Caldwell. After serving in the Air Force and Army National Guard, she worked at DuPont for a number of years. Susan was known as a very special and loving friend. She attended the Cowboy Church of Orange and was a member of the Pilot Club of Orange and Woodworkers of SETX. Susan enjoyed sewing, fishing, hunting and woodworking. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; friend, Winnie Rudd; and brothers, Gerald Allen Caldwell and Donald Earl Caldwell, II.
She is survived by her brothers, Charles Wilbur Caldwell, Jr. and wife Sarahlee; aunts, Tako Pratt and Patricia Caldwell; uncle, Raymond Caldwell; longtime friend and caregiver, Marie Badeaux; Winnie’s sister, Doris Reed; and numerous nieces and nephews.
