Sylvia Lopez
Sylvia Lopez, 79, of West Orange, Texas, passed away on November 20, 2020, Beaumont, Texas.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Gordon Vaughn.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on September 9, 1941, she was the daughter of Robert Scott and Bernice (Dyson) Scott. Sylvia spent 38 years working as an office administrator for OCARC in Orange, and she really enjoyed her time there. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Sylvia adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she always looked forward to spending time with them. Her most cherished memories were of celebrating the holidays with her loved ones, traveling to shop at flea markets, and vacationing in Tennessee and Pennsylvania. Sylvia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bernice Scott.

She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Lopez, Sr. of West Orange; her sons, Roger Lopez, Jr. and wife Carol of Orangefield, Robert Lopez and wife Melissa of Orange, and Steven Lopez and wife Melissa of Orange; her grandchildren, Kyle Lopez and wife Ashley, Marlee Brown and husband Mitchell, Austin Lopez, Dallas Lopez, Adrianna Lopez, and Katelynn Lopez; her great-grandchildren, Cayson Lopez and Griffin Brown; and her sister, Brenda Scott of Houston.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to OCARC Signs & Engraving at 905 W. Park Ave. Orange TX 77630.
