Terry Wayne Allred
Terry Wayne Allred passed away on October 20th, 2024, at Austin Hospice in Austin, Texas. Terry was born in Orange, Texas on March 19th,1955 to Reginald Lamar Allred and Betty Carpenter Allred, born two months early only weighing 3 lbs. 2 ozs. Life wasn’t always easy for Terry Wayne, but he seemed to live happily in every situation. Terry was one of the most loving and caring guys in the world. He had the best hearted laugh. When he laughed, I laughed. There were many times in life that he cooked for all his neighbors. He would help anyone and give his last dollar to anyone in need. Every phone call was ended with “tell my nieces and nephews I love them.” Terry worked on tugboats for years and then moved to Austin and worked maintenance for Easter Seals. Terry was diagnosed in March with bladder cancer and it spread pretty fast. Terry was preceded in death by his father Reginald Allred, mom Betty Hitchcock, and a wonderful stepdad Fred Hitchcock; brothers Gary Allred and Ricky Allred, sister Kathy Allred Spiller, nephew Reggie Allred, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Left to miss him is his sister Ann Smith (Larry), brother-in-law Darrell Spiller, nieces Heather Weger (Brian), Kami Loftin (Clint), nephew Michael Smith (Ashley), nephew Dylan Spiller, great nieces Kylee and Camryn Loftin, great nephews Jaxson and Blake Weger and Wesley and Jameson Smith, Aunts Violet Trammell (Howard) and Joy Bergeron (Frankie), and numerous cousins. There is no doubt Terry is celebrating in heaven at this very minute.
There will be a grave side service Sunday, December 8th at 2:00 P.M. at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange, Texas. Terry will be laid to rest next to his mother. “You mattered to me, little brother.” I will always love and miss you until we meet again.
