Thelma A. Matthews, 99, went home to be with the Lord, May 16, 2021.
Services will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, TX, 504 N. 5th St. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Thelma Allie Weatherford was born in Palestine, TX to Edgar and Eva Weatherford. Thelma, along with her husband, Vernon of 57 years, were owners of Bridal Assortments Inc. and Matthews Catering Service of Beaumont. Her Passion was assisting families throughout the Golden Triangle for over 25 year with special events from wedding to catering events. Thelma was a member of Central Baptist Church and North End Baptist Church before moving to Spring to be close to family.
She is survived by three children, eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
