Theodore Edward Smith

Theodore Edward Smith, 83, of Orange, after a long illness, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at The Meadows in Orange.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend Bailey Harris of Old First Orange Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Theodore ?Red? was born June 10, 1924, in Eight Mile, AL, raised in Mobile, AL. He was a Stone Mason for 30 years, then retired from N.L. Shaffer in Beaumont. He lived in Vidor for 30 years and in the McLewis Community since 2003.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Smith, mother, Bessie Smith, stepfather, Morgan Smith and stepmother, Rachel Lee Shows;sister, Geraldine Horn and brother, Newton all of AL and MS.
He is survived by four stepchildren, Floyd Allen Broussard and JoAnn of Magnolia, TX, Lois Elaine Granger and Don of McLewis, John Earl Broussard and Walter of Spring, TX, Joy Marie Trapolino and Johnny of Spring, TX; two sisters, Edna Wilkerson or Orange and Emla Lou Larson of Vera Beach, FL; three brothers, Gerald Smith Jr. and Sandra, Jim Smith, Terry Smith and a sisters in law, Linda Smith all of AL and MS; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
