Therence Joseph Bodin, 75, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2020, in Beaumont, Texas.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on March 19, 1945, he was the son of Clifford Bodin and Hazel Bodin. Therence proudly served his county for 22 years in the United States Army. He went on to work as security for the Stark Foundation. Therence enjoyed working with his hands and could often be found tinkering with and fixing things. He was also a frugal man whose family jokes that he was known to look through sale ads in order to save a nickel. Therence was an excellent cook. His loved ones especially looked forward to eating his famous gumbo. Therence will be missed by all who had the joy of knowing and loving him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Hazel Bodin; his sisters, Lou Broussard and Evelyn Richard; and his brothers, Arthur Bodin, Clifford Bodin, Henry Bodin, and Timothy Bodin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Bodin of Orange; his daughter, Salina Eaves and husband Aubrey of Vidor; his son, Corey Joyner of Mauriceville; his three grandchildren; his brother, Frederick Bodin; and his sister, Debbie Lane and husband Johnny.
