Thomas Michael Brennan, 75, of Zwolle, Louisiana, passed away on January 5, 2024, in Baytown, Texas.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on January 26, 1948, he was the son of Thomas Francis Brennan and Vera Imogene Harris Brennan. Thomas worked at Dupont as a microbiologist for many years. In 1999, he won the Dupont Award. Thomas had many hobbies outside of work that kept him busy. One could often find him pursuing his favorite pastime – fishing. His love for boating went hand in hand with his passion for fishing, as did his passion for driving fast. Whether by land or sea, Thomas loved to race the wind. He loved music and could often be found immersing himself in the soulful melodies of blues music, which was his favorite genre. College football held a special place in Thomas's heart, especially his favorite team, LSU. But perhaps one of Thomas's most endearing qualities was his ability to lovingly torment his family. Thomas will be very deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Vera Brennan; and his sister, Cathy Brennan.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Annette Brennan of Bridge City, Texas, Cheryl Ann Brennan of Sydney, Australia, and Victoria Jean Brennan Wright of Azle, Texas; his son, Michael Patrick Brennan and wife, Nickky, of Wellington, New Zealand; his grandchildren, Scarlett Brennan Meads, James Thomas Maxamillian Brennan, Zane Alexander Haney, Zoe Renee Pahmiyer, and Wolfgang Zelig Von Ort; his great-grandchildren, Millie Jane Rich, and Arthur Wayne Stone; his sisters, Cecelia Miley Lormand, Betsy Smith, and Susan Marie Fuss; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
