Thomas B. ?Tommy? Dorrell, 85, of Orange died June 2, 2007 at The Meadows in Orange.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday June 5, 2007 at Bethany Baptist Church in Colmesneil, TX. Officiating will be Reverend Jim Turner and Reverend J.C. Smith. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Colmesneil.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Mr. Dorrell was born March 26, 1922 in Kinder, LA to Virgil Bervin and Claudia Perkins Dorrell. He was an Army veteran during World War II and served in the Aleutian Islands. He later worked as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator for Firestone.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virgil Franks.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jean
Dorrell of Orange; daughter and son-in-law, Tommye Jean and Paul B. Johnson of Orange and sons and daughters-in-law, James V and Maria Dorrell of Orange and George B. and Holly Dorrell of Carrollton, TX. He is also survived by four grandchildren and his sisters, Valma Fischer and Claudia Olson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Johnson, Adam Johnson, Beau Dorrell, Nicholas Dorrell, James Dorrell and George Dorrell.
