Thomas Frederich Schneider, Sr., 82, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 7, 2017, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2017, at First United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Pastor John Harrell. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Groves, Texas.
Visitation will be preceding the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on April 1, 1935, he was the son of Elmer and Della (Naquin) Schneider. Thomas graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas in 1953. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City, worked in project engineering as a pipe designer, a member of Local 195, as well as a former Mason. Thomas enjoyed spending time woodworking, fishing, and playing golf. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Della Schneider; and his brother, Robert Schneider.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 32 years, Peggy Schneider; children, Tom Schneider, Jr. and wife Maria, of Orangefield, Tammy Daniels, of Vidor, Terri Lombardo, of Bridge City, Robert Ashley, Jr. and wife Linda Kay, of Shreveport, LA, and Monica Dault, of Austin; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Betty Lou Hebert, of Bridge City.
