Thomas Edward Sonnier, Jr., 64, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 2, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Born in Orange, Texas, on August 8, 1961, he was the son of Thomas Sonnier, Sr. and Murel Reeves Sonnier. He was a dedicated lineman for Tele Media, where he put his skills to work with pride and a strong work ethic. Thomas had a deep love for music, which enriched his life greatly. He spent many joyful hours playing the drums. He also enjoyed riding in his truck. Family was very important to Thomas, and he cherished the time he spent with his nieces and nephews. Whether it was sharing stories or simply enjoying each other's company, those moments brought him immense joy. Thomas will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sonnier, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Murel Sonnier; son, Dustin Thomas Sonnier; daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Sonnier; grandchildren, Issabella and Ivy; sister, Patricia Warren; and other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
