Thomas Chesley “Tommy” Vaughn, II
Thomas Chesley “Tommy” Vaughn, II, 62, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on May 7, 2018, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Faith United Methodist Church in Orange with Reverend Keith Tilley officiating. Burial will follow the service at The Cemetery, in Mauriceville, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Faith United Methodist Church in Orange.
Born in Sherman, Texas, on September 14, 1955, he was the son of Buddy and O’Clair (Oates) Vaughn. Tommy graduated from Hattiesburg High School where he ran track and was the 1973, 800 meter State Champion. He attended Delta State College in Cleveland, Mississippi on a track scholarship. He worked as a mechanic for Bayer in Orange, Texas, where he retired after many loyal years. Tommy loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Renee’ Vaughn.
He is survived by his parents, Buddy and O’Clair Vaughn; children, Trey Vaughn and wife Jaclyn and April Beatty and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Drew Frederick, Matthew Frederick, Abby Beatty, Easton Vaughn, Kasen Vaughn, Case Beatty, and Nash Vaughn; sisters, Pam Cox and husband Ronnie and Frances Thompson and husband Cornel; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Frederick, Drew Frederick, Easton Vaughn, Kasen Vaughn, Chuck Beatty, and Trey Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers are Nash Vaughn and Case Beatty.
Services are under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
