Thomas Marvin Tisdale, 82, of Bridge City, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Cypress Glen East Nursing and Rehabilitation in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Forest Wood of First Baptist Church Orangefield and assisted by Reverend Jeff Bell of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres.. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home in Bridge City.
Born in Minden, Louisiana on September 3, 1928, Thomas was the son of Glover and Novie Kemp Tisdale. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and worked at Texaco for 30 years. Thomas was an active church member where he was a Sunday School Director for many years, sang in the choir and enjoyed church music.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annabell Tisdale, one brother and three sisters.
Thomas is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Sangwin of Port Arthur; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Trudy Tisdale of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren, Audrey Payne, Jared Sangwin, Brandon Tisdale and Peggy Tisdale; four great-grandchildren, Cayden Payne, Jackson Payne, Emyle Sangwin and Brianna Sangwin; and sister, Runell Signoff.
