Tommie Beth Garison, 73, of Orange, Texas died Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at First Christian Church Orangefield. Officiating will be Dusty Garison with Brother Jim Hardwick assisting. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Grayburg, Texas on July 7, 1937, Tommie was the daughter of Sallie Walker and James Archie McMillan. She retired as the secretary at First Christian Church Orangefield, where she was also a member. She was also a member of the church Ladies Circle, as well as a Red Cross volunteer at Baptist Hospital Orange.
Preceded in death by her parents, Tommie is survived by her husband, Harry "Buddy" Garison; sons and daughters-in-law, Dusty and Kathy Garison of Abilene, Harry "Buzzy", Jr and Debbie Garison of Lewisville, Jimmy and Christy Garison of Tomball, and David and Gina Garison of Spring; grandchildren, Travis Garison, Justin Garison and his wife, Laura, Ross Garison and his wife Elizabeth, Drew Garison, Caleb Garison and his wife Alison, Seth Garison, Jamie Garison, Kylie Garison, Brittany Garison, and Erin Beth Garison; and brother, Duncan McMillan.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Travis Garison, Drew Garison, Justin Garison, Ross Garison, Caleb Garison, and Seth Garison. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Russell, John Lynn Boutte, and Donnie Sullivan.
