Tommy Glenn Bray, 76, of Deweyville, died on January 7, 2009. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Reverend David Millner of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange and Reverend Harold Nazworth will officiate. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 9, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Bray was born on April 28, 1932, in Timpson , TX, to Thomas and Ethelda Mosley Bray. He worked as an electrician with IBEW Local 479 and was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW in Starks, LA, and the Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sabrina Bray Hill. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Darlene Bray; daughters, Becky Bray Flurry and husband, Rufus and Renee Bray Martin, all of Orange; grandchildren Deana Martin King, Tommy Martin, Lewis Hill, Kristin Flurry and Karli Flurry; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Aleah, and Alexis Martin and Conner King; and one brother, James Bray of Orange.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange or to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801- 18th Street NW, Washington, DC. 20006-3517.
