Tommy Woodruff, 75, of Orange, died Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Francis Schroeder of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland, Texas.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Wheeler, Texas, on September 17, 1942, Tommy was the son of Tommie Marvin and Ina Marie (Clark) Woodruff. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and he retired as a Chief from the Navy after 20 years of service. Tommy loved to fish, and he especially loved the Rockets and the Astros (even when they were losing).
Preceded in death by his parents, Tommy is survived by his wife, Masako Woodruff, whom he would have been married to for 52 wonderful years this February; his son, Shane Woodruff and wife Melani of Orange; daughter, Regina Woodruff of Orange; grandchildren, Madison Lemoine and husband Chance, Mia Woodruff, Marlee Woodruff, Chastin Oceguera, and Cameron Oceguera; great-grandson, Jace Lemoine; sister, Sharon Rusk and husband Charlie of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
