Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on April 4, 1968, Troy was the cherished son of Keith Monceaux and Belle Jones, and a devoted father to his four children. He was also a loving brother, uncle, fiancé and the best Pops to his grandchildren. He was a long-time member of United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City. Troy loved to share the word of God and ministered to many people throughout his life - as a pastor and as a friend.
Troy was known for his infectious laughter and his ability to make anyone feel at home. He was an incredible athlete, mastering any sport he committed himself to, and was highly competitive. He carried that competitive spirit with him throughout his life, whether it was on the field or the way he faced life’s challenges head-on.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors - fishing, hunting and most of all, being at the beach with those he loved, looking for shark teeth and watching the sunset. Troy knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. He left us far too soon and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Troy is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Jewel Davis, and Patsy Berard; his stepfather, Ricky Quebedeaux; and his grandson, Levi Monceaux.
He is survived by his parents, Belle Jones, and Keith and Linda Monceaux; his children, Kade Monceaux and Ashley Gonzales, Keegan Monceaux and wife, Vivian, Kylee Monceaux, and Kason Monceaux; his grandchildren, Aubree Monceaux, Brynlee Monceaux, and Camden Monceaux; his siblings, Darrell Monceaux and wife, Glenda, Shawn Monceaux, Alex Monceaux and wife, Rebecca, and Daniel Quebedeaux; his fiancée, Juanita Hockett; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Green, Rhett Green, Jackson Green, Robert Jones, Derryl Harrell and Zachariah Quintanilla.
