Trubie J. Beebe, 84, passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, April 5, 2021. She was born in Paxton, Texas on March 6, 1937 to Willie Elmer Sherrod and Gertrude Barton.

Trubie retired from Orange County after starting out as the “switchboard” operator and later being instrumental in modernizing the telephone system for the Orange County Courthouse.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2:30 pm at the Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur L. Beebe and parents Willie Elmer Sherrod and Gertrude Barton,

Trubie is survived and deeply loved by her sister Gwen Alborn, daughters, Sherry Shelton Worsham and husband Dale Worsham, Terry Shelton Jordan and husband Mark Jordan. Her son, Patrick Beebe and wife Cindy Beebe. Grandchildren, Whitnie Strauss and husband Steve Strauss, Wade Worsham and wife Beth Worsham, Jeremiah Jordan, Candace Beers and husband Bryon Beers. Great Grandchildren, Willow, Cora, Reid, Rhett, Chris, Jacob, Hunter, Megan and Peyton. Her nephew Johnnie Clark and wife Cheryl Clark. And her devoted and constant companion, Prissy.
