Trudy was known for her big, loud personality that lit up any room she entered. Her infectious laugh brought joy to those around her, and her strong faith held great significance in her life. Trudy could always be found in the stands cheering her children, and later her grandchildren in their sporting events. In her free time, Trudy enjoyed trips to the casino, where she loved playing with the slot machines. She had a passion for writing poetry and was a wonderful gardener. Trudy was known for her creativity, often spray painting her fake plants to keep them looking fresh and vibrant.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 53 years, Johnny Harrington. They met at the Winnie City Meat Market and Johnny was told by someone that there was a very pretty girl working there. Trudy is also survived by her daughters, Misty Orta and husband Michael, Wendy Alonso and husband Omar, and Jamie Harrington. Her grandchildren, Makayla Orta, Leland Alonso, Lilianna Alonso, Maddox Orta, Beau Perkerson, and Dyland Alonso, will carry on her memory, along with her great grandchild, Lorenzo Ruiz. My Heart is breaking to hear of Her great loss. She was My hairdresser for over 10 years. I started going to Her because other elderly Ladies in My Church went to Her. She ALWAYS knew how to cut an elderly Ladies Hair and not wild. She talked alot about GOD and the loss of Her BEST FRIEND and Sister. It inspired alot of her poetry. When She found out I have stage 3 colon cancer She wouldn't charge Me to do My hair. She ALWAYS was available when You needed Her. I didn't know She was fighting Her own battles because She showed nothing but Happiness and Smiles. She WILL be DEARLY MISSED. THANK YOU MS. TRUDY for the Great styles, Fellowship and JOY thru the Years. Many PRAYERS for Her FAMILY and Friends.

I started working at Texas Oncology a few months ago and had the pleasure of meeting Trudy and her husband. Being a small part in Trudy’s care was such a blessing. What a special lady! We connected immediately and a friendship began. I only knew her a couple of months, but I sure loved her. What a special person I had the pleasure to meet. She and her husband gave me a gift at one of her last treatments that meant the world to me and I will treasure it always. Love you Trudy.
